The innovations changes every year, we are indulged into new
trends of marketing methods and ideas. With the new ideas and strategies lots
of myths comes along. Even B2B is not an exemption with this. The power of
internet in the B2B business is also its great weakness as it spreads lots of false
beliefs about it. Here are some myths which seems to be dangerous when
believed.
#1.Email marketing is
lifeless
It is simple as ABC to say Email marketing is not alive. But
the fact is Email marketing is alive and has its life throughout years. Email
marketing has more advantages as it is inexpensive, and most importantly it is personalized, which is necessary to keep in touch with customers.
Not only business organizations, most of the others also
prefer Email marketing to achieve their target better.
#2.Cold calling is
quit now
Going into the past cold calling is one of the most commonly
followed and effective means of sales. It is in use even today but in various
other forms. The myth is traveling around that cold calling is completely not
at use. But it is capable of generating millions to your business. If a
business want to expand and see the ROI rapidly, cold calling would be the
better choice.
#3.Customers do not
buy on emotions
Here it is falsely believed that the engagement of customers
only depends upon the quality and price of the product. It might
be right in some aspects but not completely, and that is in the hands of sales
people who expose the fundamental emotions to the customers. Because emotion
plays major role in the decision making of the customers. The vendors or sales
people need to be emotionally connected to the vendors. This makes them buy 2
products which is more than their intention to buy a single product.
#4.Social media is
not for B2B marketing
Most of us think that social media is only for B2C marketing
and not for B2B marketing. But it is necessary for a B2B business conjointly to
show its presence at social media. This makes the customer feel that they are
always connected with the sales people.
