DC-MSME to build technology centres in India


The Ministry of Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises (MoMSME) is all set to start the construction of three new Technology Centres in the country. The Centres would come up at Kanpur, Bhopal and Imphal.

MoMSME, Government of India, is implementing a World Bank Funded Project - Technology Centre Systems Programme (TCSP) amounting to USD 400 Million.

In this context, the Development Commissioner (MSME), Ministry of MSME, Government of India has invited bids for the Construction Work of the Technology Centres.

Meanwhile, in order to increase business opportunities for MSMEs through new market linkages and enhance competitiveness of the cluster business environment, Office of the Development Commissioner (MSME) is in the process of upgrading and expanding the network of Technology Centres (TCs) - also referred to as Tool Rooms & Technology Development Centres.
