Odisha govt organise camps to relsove MSME issues


The State Government has decided to organise Udyog Samasya Samadhan Sibir (USSS) in all the 30 districts of Odisha to resolve problems faced by micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs).

Announcing this at the USSS held in the district industries centre here on Saturday, Minister for MSME Prafulla Samal said 'May I Help You' desks will be set up in the blocks for promotion of MSMEs among the rural youths.

Presiding over the camp organised for Khurda district, Additional Chief Secretary to Government, MSME, LN Gupta said 153 bank branches have been announced as MSME branches and entrepreneurs approach these branches for loans to set up their units. He said seminars on GST and zero effect zero defect (ZED) will be organised in all the 30 districts.

Addressing the gathering, general manager of Reserve Bank of India (RBI), Bhubaneswar, SP Mohanty referred to the announcement made by the Centre that there will be no collateral for loan upto two crore. Chairman-cum-Managing Director of Odisha Industrial Infrastructure Development Corporation (IDCO) Sanjay Singh said IDCO will spend 65 crore for maintenance and improvement of industrial estates. Steps will also be taken to resolve the issue relating to dual charge, maintenance charge to industrial estates and holding tax to urban bodies paid by the entrepreneurs, he said.
