Umesh Sharma, President of BDSDIA and Event Chairman Venaktesh Sarnobat announced at a press release that the event was being jointly organised with the Department of Industries & Commerce and District Industries Centre, Belagavi. BDSSIA Vice President Rohan Juvali was also present.
Signifying industrial worthyness of Belagavi as the second largest revenue generating district after Bengaluru on Karnataka, Mr. Sharma reminded that the district mainly comprised of 90% of export oriented units. The district was also known as “sugar bowl” of Karnataka and played major role in sugar production in the country.
The idea of holding “MSME Expo – 2017” was mooted primarily to boost the business of MSME’s in the district by vis-a-vis recessionary downtrend in the global business.
