Indian Union Cabinet Minister for Women & Child Development Menaka Gandhi said that the proposal for the setting up of Women Entrepreneurship Council(WEC) to be posed for the cabinet approval soon. It is done by the Ministry of Women & Child Development(WCD) to take up the problems faced by businesswomen along with the Government.
The Council, modelled on the lines of chambers of commerce, will seek to resolve issues through policy changes. She said that the Council should be up and running within a year while inaugurating Wellness Rules! Proactive Well-Being Conclave organized by FICCI Ladies Organisation (FLO), Young FLO (YFLO) and Sleepwell Foundation which was held to celebrate International Women’s Day.
